How to use e-scooter charging?

Note: This is an option available exclusively on the Steora Cyclo smart bench.

E-scooter charing on Steora Cyclo smart bench presents one of the most advanced micromobility vehicle charging technologies in the industry. Our research and development team created a unique solution that covers more than 90% of all e-scooters on the market – without the need to have your own charger. A set of three most common e-scooter charging connectors (XLR Male Connector, XLR Female Connector, and 8mm Barrel Connector) in combination with our e-scooter battery recognition technology provides optimal charging for your e-scooter.

To use e-scooter charging, make sure that the NFC option on your device is available and turned on. Due to  Android/iOS security settings, the device usually needs to be unlocked for NFC to be available. Tap your device on the NFC symbol located at the side (on the leg) of the bench. The toolbox doors will automatically open without the need to move them by hand.

A set of three e-scooter charging connectors is located on the right side of the toolholder. Simply pull the connectors and plug the matching one into your e-scooter. Charging will start automatically and you should see a battery charging icon on the LED display, followed by the current charging power info. Once you are done with charging simply unplug your e-scooter, properly retract connectors inside their holder, and tap your device onto the NFC symbol to close the toolbox doors. In case you forget to close toolbox doors they will close automatically after 1 minute without any action. If the toolbox doors are not closing, it may be that one of the tools is not retracted properly in its holder. The  LED screen will display the icon of the tool that is not retracted.

If your e-scooter is not charging after plugging it may be that the battery is already full. When the battery charging icon is flashing as empty after plugging the e-scooter this signals that the bench’s battery is empty. If toolbox doors are not opening after tapping your device to the NFC symbol it may be that you are not positioning the NFC antenna properly or that the bench’s battery is empty. To check the bench’s battery status find the battery indicator located next to the wireless charger (on the central seating beam). If two or fewer dots are lightning on the indicator the battery is on stand-by and some features may not be available.
