How to use an air compressor?
Note: This is an option available exclusively on the Steora Cyclo smart bench.
Air compressor on Steora Cyclo smart bench provides charging of bikes and other micromobility vehicles tyres up to 8 bar/116 psi. It supports Presta and Schrader valves, thus covering the most common valves in the industry.
To use the air compressor, make sure that the NFC option on your device is available and turned on. Due to Android/iOS security settings, the device usually needs to be unlocked for NFC to be available. Tap your device on the NFC symbol located at the side (on the leg) of the bench. The toolbox doors will automatically open without the need to move them by hand.
The air compressor is located at the very right of the toolholder. Simply pull the air compressor hose and connect the head to the tyre valve. The air compressor will start automatically and you should see pressure information on the LED display located on the toolholder. Once the pressure reaches the wanted level, remove the head from the valve and retract the air hose into its holder. The compressor will stop working automatically. Do not inflate your tyre with more pressure than is recommended. Inflating tyres with higher pressure could lead to an unwanted tyre explosion. After the air compressor stopped working tap your device onto the NFC symbol to close the toolbox doors. In case you forget to close toolbox doors they will close automatically after 1 minute without any action. If the toolbox doors are not closing, it may be that one of the tools is not retracted properly in its holder. The LED screen will display the icon of the tool that is not retracted.
When the battery icon on the LED display is flashing as empty after pulling the air compressor hose out of its holder this signals that the bench’s battery is empty. If toolbox doors are not opening after tapping your device to the NFC symbol it may be that you are not positioning the NFC antenna properly or that the bench’s battery is empty. To check the bench’s battery status find the battery indicator located next to the wireless charger (on the central seating beam). If two or fewer dots are lightning on the indicator the battery is on stand-by and some features may not be available.
