How to use a Wi-Fi hotspot?
Note: This is an additional option and may not be available on the Steora smart bench you are currently using.
Steora smart bench may be equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot system. Wi-Fi hotspot on Steora smart bench uses either SIM card modem (4G) or Ethernet connection to get out to the internet.
To use a Wi-Fi hotspot, your device must have Wi-Fi turned on. Wi-Fi hotspot broadcasted from Steora is usually an open network (without password) and could be named “Steora bench” in case bench owners didn’t change the name. Once connected, the EULA screen will pop up. After accepting EULA, you will be forwarded to a homepage and can browse the internet from that point.
If a Wi-Fi hotspot is not visible it may be that the bench’s battery is empty. To check the bench’s battery status find the battery indicator located next to the wireless charger (on the central seating beam). If two or fewer dots are lightning on the indicator the battery is on stand-by and some features may not be available. If a Wi-Fi hotspot is visible but you don’t have internet access after connecting, it may be that the bench owner is using a SIM card as a data source and that the data plan reached the limit.
